We talk about pleasure here…a lot. And with so much sexual celebration in the air, it can sometimes start to feel like everyone visiting Planet O’actually is constantly having amazing sex, trying new positions, and busting out orgasms like fireworks on the Fourth of July.
So much perceived pleasure can mess with your head. Occasionally, even Team O’a has niggling thoughts like, Everyone else is having all these crazy-good orgasms…and me…well not so much. What is wrong with me? Why is this so challenging?!
It is so, so, so easy to focus on moments that don’t seem to be working, or where you don’t get the outcome you want or expect. Which is why we suggest to you – and to ourselves – to take a deep breath.
Fab. Now, with a less racing mind, reflect on the various moments, activities, accouterments, and positions that burst into your mind when you think of our tagline, Love What Feels Good.
Ditch what you may have replaced that motto with, like “Love what you expect to feel good” or “Be frustrated by everything that isn’t good enough.” The goal is to Love What Feels GOOD.
Ask yourself, What IS working in my life? What DOES feel good? What are the great things that have arisen for you this week?
Yes, pleasure is about enjoying orgasms. But it is also about accepting yourself exactly where you are at, right now, without judgement or comparison, and embracing the idea that you are enough.
And when in doubt, remember how we felt when Darcy tells Bridget Jones he likes her just as she is.
Cheesy, rom-comminess aside, it’s safe to say that what Darcy holds for Bridget, we should all hold for ourselves.
