Hi there lovely,
We started off this week talking with Nadia Munla about the importance of exploring and honoring your sensual range. Today I want to talk about a different range – the range of sexual experiences and how they are all interconnected in a beautiful, messy, and sometimes devastating web.
As you may know, I spent years in academia and as an activist working on issues of sexual violence. Then I came to wonder, what would the world look like without sexual violence? Could we build a global society in such deep reverence of genuine sexual pleasure that violence would diminish? How about we start building that world now?.
I do believe that it is time, high time, to continue to create the world we want to live in. However, the truth remains that in our present reality there is an overwhelming presence of abuse. Particularly of women, our female bodies, and our sexuality.
So in celebration of you and your prioritization of pleasure, I also recognize the depth and the range of experience. I acknowledge that you and/or the women in your life may also be healing trauma.
We are all connected. Our stories, our struggles, our healing, our pleasure.
I honor that truth through this real and raw interview with Rachael Maddox. Rachael is a dynamic and passionate leader who specializes in trauma resolution and sex coaching. I thank Rachael for her courageous healing journey and the bravery it took to share it with you and the world.
It is my intention and hope that in broadening the range of discourse within the O’actually community, we will individually and collectively heal and deepen into pleasure.
With boundless love,
